If you know that stress can make your body ill, you probably know that feeling happy and positive can really help your body heal. But, how do you feel happy when your body is suffering?
How do you heal without all that spiritual bypassing – because pretending to be happy when you’re not doesn’t usually work – especially not for healing. You can’t lie to your body. I think we all know that.
Where do you find true happiness when all you feel is pain (the pain that made you sick in the first place)?
What if I told you that you are happiness itself, pretending not to be? And that the more you shine out your authentic soul’s light, the higher your vibration naturally becomes… and you either improve your health, or your body’s condition starts to make sense and you learn to love it? Either way, your suffering ends.
And it’s not about fake smiles. It’s about finding the ultimate truth.
HAPPINESS?
Today let’s look at how your mood affects your body, and especially how raising your vibration — just feeling more happy and uplifted — can be a true boost to your healing and how you feel in your body.
While I now lead quite a happy life out here in nature, I’m not actually the most qualified person to talk about happiness. For most of my life, I didn’t even know what happiness was. In fact, based on my childhood photographs, it looks like maybe I was born sad. I was weighed down by the world, I was depressed since I was quite young, I was miserable in many of my adult relationships and there were times when I wished life would take pity on me and just… end. And even when I was feeling great, I had a rather serious personality and was fine at having deep conversations, but bubbly cheerfulness was kind of a foreign language.
So I very much understand the cheapness of hearing someone say that you should just lighten up, be happy and you’ll feel better and your body will heal. I understand the darkness of despair very well. And yet, perhaps it means even more that I am now able to experience the lighter side of life because of the depths from which I have come. If I could do it, you can too.
Now, especially in the context of healing, putting on a fake smile may help you feel a little better, but it won’t drastically change the energies behind your body’s symptoms. Bypassing or ignoring our suffering doesn’t make the shadows any lighter. Because we are all on a conscious spiritual path here, I’m going to remind you that the highest vibration possible, true emotional freedom in the sense of really feeling the pure joy of existence, doesn’t mean just feeling ‘positive’ emotions. The highest possible vibration, or true emotional freedom is more along the lines of integration.
That is, deeply knowing both sides of life, the dark and the light, and including them both in our sense of self, in our sense of what reality is, and appreciating the different roles they play in this very precious human adventure we are on. I’m reminded of the song “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell, which she sang first as a young starlet and again decades later as a wise, mature woman. The difference you can hear in her voice. She finally did understand both sides of life - and it’s just beautiful.
THE JOY OF EXISTENCE
I always try to give you some practical takeaways here, so let me share with you how I like to guide people through profound transformation to permanently raise their base vibration for deep healing. As you may have heard me mention before, the key to healing most symptoms is to identify the subconscious emotional trauma stored away in the body and welcome it with love to let it integrate back into your consciousness, to kind of dissolve the density or shadow into the light of your loving awareness. If you don’t yet have access to my resources on that, you can join my free community HERE.
But in this process, we’re not only dissolving the density, we’re changing its frequency back into its original state in the zero-point field of pure consciousness. So not only is the shadow no longer there, it’s now more pure Source energy you have at your disposal to consciously co-create your best possible life. And what that looks like energetically is that more of your own unique soul’s essence is shining through you at the highest vibration possible.
But also, in this universe of duality, if one thing exists everything exists, and every frequency on the spectrum from positive to negative has its opposite. So instead of only integrating the negative pole, we integrate the positive pole as well. We call forth the opposite energy of our trauma and integrate that as well. We become it.
And that is how we expand our consciousness to become more of our true self. Not by hiding from the dark, or focusing only on the dark, but by expanding to include both sides of any polarity, by making ourselves as big as the universe, big enough to see the whole play of light and shadow and witness it with equanimity. It even becomes the pure joy of just existing, simply because you exist, because everything exists, and because both the dark and the light have their place.
You may think this has little to do with your body’s pain or illness, with your anxiety or despair, but it has everything do with how you feel. True happiness includes a deep understanding of the balance of opposites and an awareness of your true immortal, infinite nature. Your pain plays a crucial role in your experience. It carries messages that can’t be learned another way. It shows you what parts of you are still waiting for your attention. And once you find that unshakeable happiness that comes from accepting all the parts of yourself, light and dark, in pain or not, you either allow your body to heal on its own, or you allow it to do exactly what it needs to do to bring your soul where it wants to go and to who you truly are.
So I have a special treat for you now, because I’ve found someone who understands this much better than I do, and so I’m going to include here her exact words. This is from a beautiful young woman in my community named Shelby who happens to be paralyzed, and she posted in our forum about a breakthrough she had just the other day. She gave me permission to share this because she knows there are a lot of people who need to hear it.
The title is: “thoughts from a 23 y/o in a paralyzed body” and I quote:
"I feel like the words “Fear Not” have just solidified their place in my body tonight and I hope I can keep this feeling forever. You are UNBLEMISHABLE. And you used to know that but you forgot. You know what it means to feel true peace! And that peace is that you are whole and you can never be broken. This is a short experience. Don’t be afraid to suffer. You can’t ever be truly harmed. It is all so temporary. Hold on to this experience with every breath and wake every morning with eagerness because whether you remember it right now or not, you won the lottery! There are lines and lines of souls waiting to enter broken bodies here and you chose this! On a level you can’t easily understand, you are so grateful to feel and learn from this temporary pain. Do not hold resentment but replace it with love and kindness and grace for your body. This beautiful world is our playground with no consequences. Take every opportunity to feel good when you can and show kindness and gratitude to everyone you meet so that we can all rise with each other."
Thank you, Shelby, for your profound wisdom beyond your years. You are truly speaking from your soul, and you are an inspiration to us all, reminding us of what’s possible. I cannot improve on that.
Be brave everyone. Be the light that you are.
Namaste.
