How to Trust & Surrender to the Universe

It wasn’t until I saw the hand of the divine literally materialize before me that I knew I could trust the universe!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges and uncertainty, and you’re wanting to sync up more with the divine flow to create miracles in your life, trust and surrender are absolutely essential.

But it may feel like one of the hardest things to do until you understand the secret that’s been hiding in plain sight all along…

A HELPING HAND

Today I’d like to make it easier for you to trust and surrender to the universe when things get hard, because you may feel alone in your suffering and worried about the future—understandably so—but when you can lean back into trust and let the divine will play out in your life, it’s less work for you and more miracles and synchronicities, more healing on all levels, more spiritual expansion and even more fun!

So, let’s look at it this way: The more you’re resisting your situation, the more you’re suffering and the more alone, anxious or worried you’re feeling, the more you would benefit from trusting the universe.

I know that’s easier said than done, but here’s my proof:

One day quite some years ago, I was caught up in my normal, everyday worries and fears about the future, I was in a really uncertain and scary situation and I couldn’t see the way out. I didn’t even really have a home, I was living in a friend’s spare room, just reading a book and contemplating things… when (and I know it sounds crazy, but) all of a sudden the molecules of air around me (actually the etheric plasma that makes up reality) seemed to rearrange themselves and took the shape of a hand, a transparent, etheric hand… and it was reaching out to help me.

The air felt sort of ‘sparkly’ like it does whenever I’m tapped into my soul, and I received the very clear knowing that it was the hand of the divine. I understood immediately then that absolutely everything in the universe and beyond really was all conspiring to help me and that I was not alone in my struggles.

All the space around me felt alive—it felt sacred. And eventually I learned to perceive the sacred aliveness in everything around me, including the space between things, whenever I chose to, and it made all the difference in how much more relaxed and peaceful I could be even in the hardest of times.

WHOM DO YOU TRUST?

If you need a sign from the universe that you really can trust the divine plan for your life, ask Source to show you. Ask for the signs and synchronicities, but then more importantly, follow the signs and trust them when they come. You want to meet the universe halfway, so when you receive a message or hint showing you the way, listen and take that step. Only then can the next one appear.

And then the more synced up you are to the Source field, the more synchronicities and signs will show up to guide you, until you start to notice that absolutely everything is a guide and a helper, even your hardships, because they’re putting that necessary pressure on you to motivate you to expand and take that next step, even if that next step is to surrender more fully to Source itself. Sometimes we’re forced to surrender when everything spirals out of our control and we’re lost to the whirlwind of change. I know I’ve been there.

Another part of this is to really address any traumas you’re still carrying around distrust, betrayal, feeling abandoned by the divine, any doubt or apprehension or fears around trusting others or the divine itself. There may be a very good reason why you’re struggling to trust, and you can hang on to that wisdom and common sense you’ve gained, while dissolving the trauma, pain and fear that are not allowing you to surrender to your soul’s destiny. Surrender your pain itself to Source. Surrender your fears. Offer it all up and ask for assistance. You’re not alone and never have been.

But, how do you really know that?

Well, it all becomes a lot easier when you realize that you don’t have to trust the universe at all, because you are the universe. It’s all you anyway. There’s no one outside of you to trust. Can you trust yourself? Do you have your own best interest at heart?

I know that can sound a bit condescending to those of us who are already wanting every day to realize our enlightenment, but let’s just use our logic for a moment: If we really are one with the universe, then there never can be any conflict of interest. Of course you want the best for yourself. The universe wants the best for itself. So, if we are all one, the universe has to want the best for you and is creating miracles every day for your benefit.

Don’t take my word for it. Practice dis-identifying with your body and mind, and start perceiving the limitlessness of your awareness. Play with that. Where are the boundaries of your consciousness? How can you perceive the infinity of yourself and the divinity all around you more and more each day? Let each molecule of the air you breathe come alive with sacredness and infuse your spirit with hope and trust.

Contemplate how everything in your current situation AND your past may have been divinely orchestrated to give you the exact experiences needed on your soul’s journey. What if it were true that all of this is for your benefit? What if that were true? How have you benefitted, what strengths have you developed as a result? Can that help you perceive life differently? Can you trust the universe then?

And what about uncertainty? Can you be comfortable with not knowing the future? Because none of us ever will. Even the most gifted psychics in the world can only give you potentials and probabilities, not guarantees. Can you allow uncertainty by reframing it as unlimited possibility? Can you be ok with not knowing and let Source know it all? Can you let Source do the heavy lifting?

Can you create miracles in your life by allowing Source to move through you, by syncing up with the divine flow of the universe and surrendering to divine will? Can you trust blindly and take the hand of the divine that is outstretched and waiting to help you? It’s been there all along and it’s always there, even right now. All you need to do is trust the universe as intimately as you trust yourself.

Be brave, and trust the infinite light that is you.
